Here is a summary of Vietnam’s activities

  1. Submitted IRGN2490R
This document describes the changes to the source references of V-Source ideographs.
The changes are already reflected in Extension-H and will be used to identify V-Source
    characters in Unicode v.14.
  2. Review of IRGN2475 Extension H
We are continuing review of Extension H. We provided some feedback regarding VSource character code changes.
  3. WS2021
We reviewed the working sets submitted by all members and provided feedback and
    responses via the online tool.
  4. Nom Na Tong font
The Vietnamese reference font, NomNaTong-regular.ttf, is now available in a git-hub
project at https://github.com/nomfoundation/font. We continue to add glyphs and fix
errors as we find them. Version 4.6 was provided to the IRG for code charts and the
current version is 4.8. Proposals for a small number of glyph changes will be submitted
to the IRG in the coming months.
  5. Addition of Dr. Trận Trọng Dương to our advisory group.
Dr. Dương (陳仲洋), a scholar and member of the Institute of Hán-Nôm Studies in
Hanoi, has agreed to participate in our encoding effort in an advisory role. He does not
plan to attend IRG meetings at this time.
