What happen to other fields like Business, Music, Arts, History or Literature? Is current education system degrading? Please explain.

Answer: The simple answer is jobs. STEM is where most of the jobs are. If you study STEM, you can get good job. STEM is the key driver of the global economy today and tomorrow. There is a large gap between the skills that companies need and what the current education system produces. Today the global economy is slowing down, every country is suffering with high unemployment, and many college graduates could not find jobs. But there are approximately 120 million unfilled positions globally (2010 data). In every country, there are unfilled jobs because companies cannot find workers with skills that they need.

Today a student with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM can make much more money than a student with the same degree in different fields. The world is changing fast and moving toward a technological society. The demand for people with STEM knowledge is high. If you do not study STEM you will have difficulty in finding job. The current education system cannot produce enough graduates with skills that companies needed but have much more graduates with skills that companies do not need. It is a supply and demand rule of economic. If you are students in high school or college, you will need to look forward to select the field of study that can help you to build a stable career with good salary when you graduate.

The current education system is not degrading. It is still offering fields such as History, Literature, Business, Arts, Philosophy, Humanity, Education, Social study, Architecture and Music. If you like these areas, you should select them. Please remember that the choice is yours if you know what you want. The issue is many students do not know about this trend. They only look at local trend, which is slow to evolve rather than the fast changing global trend. Many students study fields which are not in high demand because they do not know. That is why we have so many unemployed graduates.

Today the world is changing faster than ever because of globalization and technology. The best way to be successful is to aiming to fields that will be “Hot” and stay away from those that are not. In this Technology era, “Hot” jobs are mostly STEM jobs. From a realistic view, by study STEM, you can get a good job. Having a good job will allow you to do whatever you like. When you have a stable career and lot of money, you can create music, write novels, paint pictures, design beautiful houses, and decorate artistic interior furniture – if they are your passion. You can be a lifelong learner who continues to learn whatever you like, develop new skills, take additional courses. In fact, building multiple skill sets—such as music, literature, history and philosophy combined with your analytical skills and technology background can be a wonderful way to have a fulfilling life. The choice is yours.

Một sinh viên hỏi tôi: “Sao chúng em cần học STEM (khoa học, công nghệ, kĩ nghệ và toán học)? Điều gì xảy ra cho …

[18,30

post-796","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-loi-khuyen-cho-sinh-vien","category-hoi-va-dap
["GET
