The battle for market dominance between Apple\u2019s IOS, Google\u2019s Androids, and Microsoft\u2019s Window 8 is still undecided but the trend is clear: Mobile market is where most jobs are.<\/p>\n

I believe Cloud Computing will be another major factor of IT business. Many companies will switch from having internal IT organizations to external providers or cloud computing services for applications, content and preferences. Since there is no standard, synchronization across many devices will be a major issue. If you want to improve your career in this sector, you need to develop skills in systems integration and managing Software as a Services (SaaS). As many companies are transitioning to the Cloud, some roles of IT will change from implement to coordinate IT related activities. You need to have Project management skills, Information system management skills, Service management skills, and Data management skills.<\/p>\n

As more companies are applying information technology to gain advantages, there will be more data generated and the amount of data will be big. There are all types of data that must be organized, categorize, store, and updated. There will be high demand for database administrators, data architects, data analysts. Skills in database, data mining, and knowledge of the Hadoop framework will be important.<\/p>\n

In the web development sector, although JavaScript is still the main application developer environment but HTML 5 is coming fast and gain popularity so it is important to know both as the adoption of these two technologies could change suddenly. In summary, if you have skills relate to Cloud computing, Mobile development, Web development, and Big data management you will have a very good future.<\/p>\n

As a third year Computer Science student, you need to improve your soft-skills such as communication skills, teamwork skills (Working in Capstone project is the best way to learn this skill), presentation skills, listening skills and improve your second language such as English.
