A mother wrote to me: \u201cMy son is planning to study in the U.S and get a job there but he is not sure what school or what field of study to select. Please help.\u201d<\/p>\n

Answer: Education is a major investment and should be carefully planned, especially with the rapidly changing job market. Your son\u2019s field of study in college is more important than ever. It can either help him to have a successful lifetime career and high salaries or let him go into unemployment with no chance to get out of it. To apply to U.S schools, you must investigate each school carefully as there are many \u201cPhony\u201d schools advertise in Asian countries with promises of scholarships and easy admission but their degrees are worthless. Today the most important factor for any college student is the field of study and selecting the high demand field to study is critical for future employment. If your son would like to work in the U.S. then he must select fields of study in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as graduates from these fields are allowed to stay and work in the U.S.<\/p>\n
