Answer: To work in the U.S. you will need to have a working visa. As an Information Technology graduate, you could apply for H1B visa which permit hiring of professional level workers by a sponsoring company. That means you will need to have an U.S. company to hire you and sponsor the visa. Hiring demand is always changing and the ability to write code may not be good enough for an U.S. company to hire you. You need to have the high demand skill sets in software development that U.S. companies need, but could not find enough workers, for them to hire you.<\/p>\n
Currently mobile development is in high demand; companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Facebook are looking for a lot of people with mobile development experience. The job market continues to have high demand for people with experience in iOS or Android. You also need to have skills in designing user-interface to ensure a smooth experience with mobile end users as well as JavaScript, MVC framework and other related languages skills<\/p>\n
Cloud computing is another skill needed in many companies, especially if you also have skill in computing security. Many hacking events and cyber-attacks have created a high demand for people with these skills to ensure that their information systems are protected. Special skills in platforms like Amazon’s and OpenStack’s are desired by these companies.<\/p>\n
Big data is another fast growing area with high demand. It usually requires an advanced degree and special training in data analytics to handle massive amounts of data companies are collecting. You will need to have experience with Hadoop, Spark and others big data technology.<\/p>\n
Beside these technical skills, you need to have English language proficiency in both speaking and writing and other soft-skills such as teamworks, presentation, time management and good organization skills.<\/p>\n
