Self organizing team<\/p>\n

A student asked: \u201cWhat is the difference between a self-organizing team in Scrum and regular project team?<\/p>\n

Answer: Both self-organizing team and project team are\u00a0groups of developers who work together toward a goal. The self-organizing team has the ability and authority to make its own decisions when the project team receives direction from the project manager who makes decisions. The self-organizing team decides and distributes work among themselves; they do not wait for anyone to assign work. They manage their work such as estimation, allocation, delivery, and rework as a group and communicate often with each other on a daily basis. They understand requirements and what to do and if needed, they could ask questions to clarify works easily.<\/p>\n

Of course, to have a self-organizing team takes time and efforts as all team members must be highly skilled and competent for the job. They must have a lot of experience as they do not need direction from anyone. These people must work as a team rather than as an individual. They motivate each other and very focus in their work.
