D\u1eef li\u1ec7u c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p ch\u1ec9 ra r\u1eb1ng t\u1eeb n\u0103m ngo\u00e1i, nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng ti \u0111ang \u0111em c\u00f4ng vi\u1ec7c CNTT tr\u1edf v\u1ec1 nh\u00e0 sau m\u1ed9t th\u1eddi k\u00ec hai m\u01b0\u01a1i n\u0103m t\u0103ng tr\u01b0\u1edfng trong kho\u00e1n ngo\u00e0i. Vi\u1ec7c s\u1ee5t gi\u1ea3m trong kho\u00e1n ngo\u00e0i CNTT \u0111ang t\u00e1c \u0111\u1ed9ng t\u1edbi kinh t\u1ebf c\u1ee7a nhi\u1ec1u n\u01b0\u1edbc tu\u1ef3 thu\u1ed9c v\u00e0o kho\u00e1n ngo\u00e0i CNTT nh\u01b0 \u1ea4n \u0110\u1ed9, Philippines, v\u00e0 Trung Qu\u1ed1c v.v. n\u01a1i m\u1ed9t s\u1ed1 c\u00f4ng ti \u0111ang th\u1ea5y thu nh\u1eadp c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd r\u1edbt xu\u1ed1ng h\u01a1n 30% ch\u1ec9 trong m\u1ed9t n\u0103m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ng\u00e0y nay ch\u00fang ta ph\u1ea3i thay \u0111\u1ed5i s\u1ef1 h\u1ed9i t\u1ee5 t\u1eeb vi\u1ebft m\u00e3 v\u00e0 ki\u1ec3m th\u1eed sang ch\u1ea5p nh\u1eadn c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 m\u1edbi cho kinh doanh t\u01b0\u01a1ng lai c\u1ee7a ch\u00fang ta tr\u01b0\u1edbc khi c\u00e1c n\u01b0\u1edbc kh\u00e1c c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 l\u00e0m \u0111i\u1ec1u \u0111\u00f3. To\u00e0n th\u1ec3 ng\u00e0nh c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p ti\u1ebfp th\u1ecb v\u00e0 qu\u1ea3ng c\u00e1o \u0111ang thay \u0111\u1ed5i sang ph\u01b0\u01a1ng ti\u1ec7n x\u00e3 h\u1ed9i cho n\u00ean c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ti l\u00e0m kho\u00e1n ngo\u00e0i CNTT ph\u1ea3i nhanh ch\u00f3ng chuy\u1ec3n v\u00e0o SMAC n\u1ebfu kh\u00f4ng s\u1ebd m\u1ea5t kinh doanh v\u00e0o tay ng\u01b0\u1eddi kh\u00e1c. Theo b\u00e1o c\u00e1o c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p n\u00e0y, gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb th\u1ecb tr\u01b0\u1eddng SMAC hi\u1ec7n t\u1ea1i x\u1ea5p x\u1ec9 $75 t\u1ec9 \u0111\u00f4 la nh\u01b0ng s\u1ebd t\u0103ng l\u00ean t\u1edbi $200 t\u1ec9 \u0111\u00f4 la n\u0103m 2018.<\/p>\n

Ng\u00e0y nay c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ti v\u00e0 c\u00e1 nh\u00e2n sinh ra h\u00e0ng t\u1ec9 gigabytes d\u1eef li\u1ec7u, \u0111i\u1ec1u m\u00e0 khi \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c ph\u00e2n t\u00edch v\u00e0 d\u00f9ng \u0111\u00fang, c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 l\u00e0m n\u1ed5i l\u00ean \u01b0u th\u1ebf c\u1ea1nh tranh v\u00f4 \u0111\u1ecbch cho b\u1ea5t k\u00ec c\u00f4ng ti n\u00e0o c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 d\u00f9ng ch\u00fang cho \u01b0u th\u1ebf c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd. According to an industry report, the number of IT outsourcing contracts has dropped this year, reversing a twenty year growing trend. Industry data indicated that since last year, many companies are bringing IT works back home after a period of twenty year growth in outsourcing. The decline in IT outsourcing is impacting the economy of countries that are depending on IT outsourcing such as India, The Philippines, and China etc. where some companies are seeing their revenues drop over 30% in just one year.<\/p>\n

An U.S. executive said: \u201cFor years we outsourced IT projects to reduce costs but for the past five years, outsourcing costs have risen to the point that they are no longer profitable and at the same time software quality by suppliers is getting worst. It is more costly for us to fix defects that should be fixed earlier by outsourced suppliers. The current trend in the software industry is shifting works back home and developing everything in house when we have better control.\u201d An industry analyst explained further: \u201cIn the past, most companies outsourced coding and testing and they worked well so they outsourced design, architect, and the entire IT projects and hoped that they could enjoy quality works at lower cost. This was where many things went wrong. Most outsourcing suppliers did not have advanced skills so outsourced projects began to fail which cost customers millions of dollars to fix. Today outsourcing industry is having many late projects, missed schedules, and high number of defects so customers are very angry and stop sending work out. I think the end of outsourcing is near.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the change in immigration laws, companies can hire skilled workers from all over the world and bring them to works in their country instead of outsource. A manager explained: \u201cIn the past, we had a shortage of skilled workers so outsourcing was a solution to get works done but today with open immigration laws, we do not need to outsource anymore and it is better for us to have control our quality and costs than depending on outsourced suppliers.\u201d Although companies still outsource coding, testing, and helpdesk supports to reduce costs but higher level areas are being reduced or keep in house. With the increasing use of cloud computing, many IT works are being done by cloud computing companies so fewer businesses would need to do IT works.<\/p>\n

An Indian industry executive declared: \u201cTo remain as a global center for information technology and generating IT resources to the requirement of advanced countries, we must realize this trend and adjust our strategy accordingly. Today we must change our focus from coding and testing and adopt new technologies for our future business before other countries can do that. With the shortage of IT workers in various new technologies, we must move fast into areas such as Social media, Mobility, big data Analytics and Cloud computing (SMAC). These will be the leading business-technology that allows us to remain in the top position for the next decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most global companies such as large banks, global retailers, and imports exports business are adopting social media strategies for efficient communication. They are using social media for their customer service and sales and marketing functions. With over two billion people logged on to various social networks daily, watching films on YouTube, or reading blogs for advice on what products to buy, where to shop, and even what companies they want to do business with. The whole marketing and advertising industry are changing to social media so IT outsourcing companies must quickly move into SMAC or else losing business to others. According to the industry report, the current market value SMAC is approximately $75 billion dollars but will increase to $200 Billion dollars by 2018.<\/p>\n

According to several reports, the future of IT business process outsourcing (BPO) is changing from coding and testing into social media, mobility analytics, and cloud computing (SMAC) and companies with skilled workers in these areas could quickly dominate this areas. Today mobility is one of the fastest growing sector and part of social media as more people access digital content by mobile devices (Smartphone, tablets etc.). Among them mobile banking has emerged as one of the most innovative products in the financial services industry.<\/p>\n

Big data is another fast growing area. Today companies and individuals generate billions of gigabytes of data, which when properly analyzed and used in time, can emerge as an unbeatable competitive advantage for any company that can use them for their advantages. Currently there are only few top universities have classes in data analytics, predictive analysis, machine learning and text mining to deal with the large volume, fast changing with both structured and unstructured data. There is also a shortage of this skill in the industry.<\/p>\n

In the past two decades Indian IT outsourcing industry has enjoyed the top position with revenues reaching over $100 billion dollars. However change in technologies, with the emergence of SMAC will give other countries such as China, Russia, The Philippines, and Eastern European countries another chance to compete in this business. The emerging of SMAC has level the market field so every country can start over from the beginning. As Indian companies are changing their business strategies, Chinese companies are ready to compete in this new market. Since last year, Chinese government has spent billions of dollars to invest in the training on SMAC technologies with a goal to have half million SMAC skilled workers by 2016.
