Theo m\u1ed9t b\u00e1o c\u00e1o c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p, 2013 l\u00e0 n\u0103m t\u1ed1t nh\u1ea5t m\u00e0 vi\u1ec7c l\u00e0m cho ng\u01b0\u1eddi t\u1ed1t nghi\u1ec7p c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 th\u00f4ng tin (CNTT) \u0111\u1ea1t t\u1edbi nhu c\u1ea7u cao nh\u1ea5t. Khi nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng ti t\u1eeb m\u1ecdi khu v\u1ef1c \u0111ang thu\u00ea c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT, vi\u1ec7c thi\u1ebfu h\u1ee5t \u0111i t\u1eeb g\u0103ng t\u1edbi ch\u1ee7 ch\u1ed1t. Ngay c\u1ea3 v\u1edbi h\u00e0ng tr\u0103m ngh\u00ecn c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT n\u01b0\u1edbc ngo\u00e0i \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c ph\u00e9p t\u1edbi v\u00e0 l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c \u1edf M\u0129 m\u1ed7i n\u0103m, thi\u1ebfu h\u1ee5t v\u1eabn tr\u1ea7m tr\u1ecdng h\u01a1n v\u00ec nhu c\u1ea7u v\u1eabn t\u0103ng l\u00ean nhanh ch\u00f3ng.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ng\u00e0y nay c\u00e1c nh\u00e0 l\u00e0m xe h\u01a1i nh\u01b0 Ford, GM, Toyota, v\u00e0 Volkswagen t\u1ea5t c\u1ea3 \u0111\u1ec1u mu\u1ed1n thu\u00ea nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT v\u00e0 h\u1ecd \u0111ang c\u1ea1nh tranh v\u1edbi c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ti ph\u1ea7n m\u1ec1m kh\u00e1c nh\u01b0 Google, Facebook, Microsoft, v\u00e0 Amazon.com. L\u00ed do l\u00e0 c\u00e1c nh\u00e0 l\u00e0m xe h\u01a1i \u0111ang d\u00f9ng ng\u00e0y c\u00e0ng nhi\u1ec1u h\u1ec7 th\u1ed1ng m\u00e1y t\u00ednh trong xe c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd v\u00e0 c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT c\u00f3 k\u0129 n\u0103ng l\u1ea1i kh\u00f3 t\u00ecm cho n\u00ean c\u00e1c nh\u00e0 l\u00e0m xe h\u01a1i \u0111ang n\u0103ng n\u1ed5 \u0111i t\u1edbi c\u00e1c \u0111\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc v\u00e0 thu\u00ea th\u1eadt nhi\u1ec1u ng\u01b0\u1eddi t\u1ed1t nghi\u1ec7p CNTT nh\u1ea5t c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c. M\u1eb7c d\u1ea7u ng\u00e0y nay ch\u1ec9 m\u1edbi c\u00f3 v\u00e0i ngh\u00ecn xe t\u1ef1 l\u00e1i \u0111ang \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c d\u00f9ng nh\u01b0ng con s\u1ed1 n\u00e0y \u0111ang t\u0103ng l\u00ean nhanh ch\u00f3ng. Ch\u1eb3ng h\u1ea1n, ng\u01b0\u1eddi s\u00e1ng l\u1eadp Google Sergey Brin \u0111\u00e3 d\u00f9ng xe t\u1ef1 l\u00e1i \u0111\u1ec3 \u0111i l\u00e0m trong h\u01a1n m\u1ed9t n\u0103m nay. \u00d4ng \u1ea5y n\u00f3i n\u00f3 cho ph\u00e9p \u00f4ng \u1ea5y c\u00f3 nhi\u1ec1u th\u1eddi gian l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c h\u01a1n trong xe thay v\u00ec l\u00e1i xe. Nhi\u1ec1u ng\u00f4i sao \u0111i\u1ec7n \u1ea3nh, ng\u00f4i sao nh\u1ea1c rock v\u00e0 ngay c\u1ea3 c\u00e1c th\u01b0\u1ee3ng ngh\u1ecb s\u0129 v\u00e0 d\u00e2n bi\u1ec3u c\u0169ng s\u1edf h\u1eefu xe t\u1ef1 l\u00e1i ri\u00eang c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd. Khi c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ti ng\u00e2n h\u00e0ng, t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh v\u00e0 b\u1ea3o hi\u1ec3m t\u1ef1 \u0111\u1ed9ng ho\u00e1 c\u00e1c qui tr\u00ecnh c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd; h\u1ecd c\u1ea7n nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT n\u1eefa. M\u1ed9t nh\u00e0 ph\u00e2n t\u00edch Ph\u1ed1 Wall n\u00f3i r\u1eb1ng sau cu\u1ed9c kh\u1ee7ng ho\u1ea3ng t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh, c\u00e1c ng\u00e2n h\u00e0ng v\u00e0 c\u00f4ng ti t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh b\u1eaft \u0111\u1ea7u thi\u1ebft l\u1eadp nhi\u1ec1u \u0111i\u1ec3m ki\u1ec3m m\u00e1y t\u00ednh trong to\u00e0n b\u1ed9 v\u1eadn h\u00e0nh c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd \u0111\u1ec3 b\u00e1o cho ng\u01b0\u1eddi qu\u1ea3n l\u00ed v\u1ec1 b\u1ea5t k\u00ec b\u1ea5t th\u01b0\u1eddng n\u00e0o v\u00ec h\u1ecd kh\u00f4ng tin c\u1eady v\u00e0o con ng\u01b0\u1eddi n\u1eefa. B\u1eb1ng vi\u1ec7c c\u00f3 h\u1ec7 th\u1ed1ng m\u00e1y t\u00ednh, h\u1ecd c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 c\u1ea3i ti\u1ebfn vi\u1ec7c ph\u00e1t hi\u1ec7n m\u00f3n vay x\u1ea5u, gi\u1ea3 m\u1ea1o, vay kh\u00f4ng \u0111\u00fang ch\u1ed7 v\u00e0 d\u00f9ng kh\u00f4ng th\u00edch h\u1ee3p c\u00e1c giao t\u00e1c t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh v.v. v\u00ec m\u00e1y t\u00ednh s\u1ebd \u0111\u1eb7t b\u00e1o \u0111\u1ed9ng n\u1ebfu b\u1ea5t k\u00ec ai ki\u1ec1m ch\u1ebf qui tr\u00ecnh vay hay n\u1ebfu con s\u1ed1 kh\u00f4ng th\u1ec3 \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c th\u1ea9m tra. \u0110\u1ec3 l\u00e0m \u0111i\u1ec1u \u0111\u00f3 h\u1ecd c\u1ea7n nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT c\u00f3 k\u0129 n\u0103ng v\u00ec h\u1ecd \u0111ang n\u1eafm c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 m\u1edbi nh\u01b0 Big Data, di \u0111\u1ed9ng, v\u00e0 t\u00ednh to\u00e1n m\u00e2y. Nh\u00e0 ph\u00e2n t\u00edch n\u00e0y vi\u1ebft: \u201cCNTT \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c \u0111\u1ea7u t\u01b0 b\u1edfi c\u00e1c t\u1ed5 ch\u1ee9c ng\u00e2n h\u00e0ng v\u00e0 t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c mong \u0111\u1ee3i v\u01b0\u1ee3t qu\u00e1 $471 t\u1ec9 \u0111\u00f4 la \u0111\u1ebfn cu\u1ed1i n\u0103m 2013, t\u0103ng 14 ph\u1ea7n tr\u0103m t\u1eeb 2010. Ng\u00e0y nay c\u00e1c ng\u00e2n h\u00e0ng v\u00e0 c\u00f4ng ti t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh kh\u00f4ng c\u1ea7n ng\u01b0\u1eddi kinh doanh v\u00ec nhi\u1ec1u th\u1ee9 s\u1ebd \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c t\u1ef1 \u0111\u1ed9ng ho\u00e1 b\u1edfi m\u00e1y t\u00ednh nh\u01b0ng h\u1ecd c\u1ea7n nhi\u1ec1u ng\u01b0\u1eddi CNTT h\u01a1n \u0111\u1ec3 qu\u1ea3n l\u00ed c\u00e1c h\u1ec7 th\u1ed1ng n\u00e0y. \u0110\u00f3 l\u00e0 l\u00ed do t\u1ea1i sao th\u1ea1c s\u0129 v\u1ec1 qu\u1ea3n tr\u1ecb kinh doanh (MBA) kh\u00f4ng c\u00f2n l\u00e0 b\u1eb1ng c\u1ea5p mong mu\u1ed1n nh\u01b0ng Qu\u1ea3n l\u00ed h\u1ec7 th\u00f4ng tin (ISM) \u0111ang tr\u1edf th\u00e0nh m\u1ed9t trong nh\u1eefng b\u1eb1ng c\u1ea5p c\u00f3 nhu c\u1ea7u cao nh\u1ea5t trong khu v\u1ef1c t\u00e0i ch\u00ednh n\u00e0y.<\/p>\n

M\u1ed9t ng\u00e0nh c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p kh\u00e1c c\u0169ng c\u1ea1nh tranh v\u1ec1 c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT l\u00e0 c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p ch\u0103m s\u00f3c s\u1ee9c kho\u1ebb. Khi h\u1ecd d\u00f9ng ng\u00e0y c\u00e0ng t\u0103ng c\u00e1c m\u00e1y t\u00ednh \u0111\u1ec3 t\u1ef1 \u0111\u1ed9ng ho\u00e1 c\u00e1c qui tr\u00ecnh c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd \u0111\u1ec3 c\u1ea3i t\u00ednh hi\u1ec7u qu\u1ea3 trong c\u00e1c b\u1ec7nh vi\u1ec7n, ph\u00f2ng m\u1ea1ch c\u1ee7a b\u00e1c s\u0129, h\u1ecd c\u1ea7n nhi\u1ec1u c\u00f4ng nh\u00e2n CNTT h\u01a1n. Tuy nhi\u00ean c\u1ea1nh tranh v\u1edbi c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 kh\u00f4ng ph\u1ea3i l\u00e0 d\u1ec5 d\u00e0ng. M\u1ed9t quan ch\u1ee9c \u0111i\u1ec1u h\u00e0nh gi\u1ea3i th\u00edch: \u201cTrong nhi\u1ec1u n\u0103m, sinh vi\u00ean CNTT m\u01a1 \u01b0\u1edbc l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c cho Google, Facebook, v\u00e0 Amazon.com v\u00e0 h\u1ecd kh\u00f4ng ngh\u0129 t\u1edbi ng\u00e2n h\u00e0ng, b\u1ec7nh vi\u1ec7n hay c\u00f4ng ti b\u1ea3o hi\u1ec3m nh\u01b0 n\u01a1i “chu\u1ea9n” \u0111\u1ec3 l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c cho n\u00ean ch\u00fang t\u00f4i c\u1ea7n thu\u00ea nh\u1eefng ng\u01b0\u1eddi qu\u1ea3n l\u00ed tr\u1ebb h\u01a1n v\u00e0 “ng\u01b0\u1eddi qu\u1ea3n l\u00ed bi\u1ebft v\u1ec1 c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7” \u0111\u1ec3 gi\u00fap cho ng\u00e0nh c\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p c\u1ee7a ch\u00fang t\u00f4i v\u01b0\u1ee3t qua kh\u00f3 kh\u0103n trong vi\u1ec7c h\u1ea5p d\u1eabn nh\u1eefng t\u00e0i n\u0103ng h\u00e0ng \u0111\u1ea7u. According to an industry report, 2013 is the best year where employment for Information Technology (IT) graduates reaches the highest demand. As more companies from every sector is hiring IT workers, the shortage go from critical to crucial. Even with over hundred thousand foreign IT workers are allowed to come and work in the U.S each year, the shortage is keeping more severed as the demand keep increasing fast.<\/p>\n

Today automakers such as Ford, GM, Toyota, and Volkswagen all want to hire more IT workers and they are competing with software companies such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon.com. The reason is automakers are increasingly use computer systems in their cars and IT skilled workers are difficult to find so automakers are aggressively go to universities and hire as many IT graduates as possible. An Industry analyst explained: \u201cAll future cars will have sophisticated computer systems, everything will be controlled electronically and in the next few years, self-driven cars will be the reality that is why IT skills are needed. Imagine that you go to your car and tell the car where you want to go. The voice recognition software translates your voice to the car\u2019s control system who verifies the destination with you then uses the Global Position System (GPS) to direct your car to drive. With sensors and radars to monitor traffic, you can sit in the car reading newspapers, listen to music, or check emails and the car will take you to wherever you want. Although today there are only few thousand self-driven cars being used but the number is increasing fast. For example, Google founder Sergey Brin has been using Self-driven car to go to work for over a year now. He said it allows him more time to work in the car instead of driving. Several movies stars, rock stars and even senators and congressman also own self-driving cars. The industry expects that as more people are buying self-driving cars, the price will drop to a level that many will be able to afford them.<\/p>\n

As banking, financial and insurance companies automate their processes; they need more IT workers too. A Wall Street analyst said that after the financial crisis, banks and financial companies began to set up many computer checkpoints throughout their operation to alert managers of any anomaly as they do not trust people anymore. Many banks executives believe that people had made many mistakes and bad loans that led to the financial crisis of 2007. By having computer systems, they could improve the detection of bad loans, frauds, misplaced loans and inappropriate use of financial transactions etc. because computers would set alarm if anyone tempers with the loan process or if the numbers cannot be verified. To do that they need more skilled IT workers as they are embracing new technologies such as Big Data, mobile, and Cloud Computing. The analyst wrote: \u201cIT investments by banking and financial organizations are expected to exceed $471 billion by the end of 2013, a 14 percent increase since 2010. These investments are expected to grow another 20 percent in the next ten years as bank and financial are global businesses with offices and operations spreading all over the world and that means they will need IT workers from ever country that they operate. Today banks and financial companies do not need business people as many things will be automated by computers but they need more IT people to manage these systems. That is why the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is no longer the desire degree but Information System Management (ISM) is becoming one of the highest demand degrees in this financial sector.<\/p>\n

In the past five years, the\u00a0insurance industry has been investing heavily in information technology<\/strong>, collecting a lot of data as they are set up special systems to detect frauds, bad claims etc. An executive explained: \u201cFor years, the tradition is using people to process these insurance claims but today we are using computers to do that work because computer do not lie, do not cheat, and they make decisions based on rules not emotions. Within the next five years, the insurance industry will have more IT workers than business and accounting \u00a0workers and we are concentrating on Big Data analytics, mobile, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, all of them are taught in Information Technology program NOT business program and that is why we are focusing on hiring computer science and information system management graduates.<\/p>\n

Another industry that also competes for IT workers is healthcare industry. As they are increasingly using computers to automate their processes to improve efficiency in hospitals, doctors\u2019 offices, they need more IT workers. With the mandatory use of electronic health record is hospitals, increasing use of electronic devices and mobile phones; the entire healthcare sector is changing rapidly. Today doctors can examine patients from far away, using telemedicine technology, even minor surgeries can be done remotely using robots, patients are being monitored by electronic sensors and with these technologies, more IT skilled workers are needed.<\/p>\n

However to compete with the technology industry is not easy. An executive explained: \u201cFor years, IT students dream of working for Google, Facebook, and Amazon.com and they do not think of banking, hospital or insurance company as a \u201cCool\u201d place to work so we need to hire younger managers and \u201cTech-savvy managers\u201d to help our industry to overcome difficulties in attracting top tech talent. Of course, working for Google is \u201cHip\u201d and working for \u201cFacebook\u201d is \u201cCool\u201d so what we do is to attract IT skilled workers by giving them something difference. Instead of sitting in a small office in front of computer as most technology companies do, we offer them a direct interface with customers such as changing location every few years. For example, if you work for an international bank, you can work in Paris for a year then move to Hong Kong then to Australia. As long as we have offices in any country, you could relocate to work there. It is very attractive to young IT workers and that is why we can compete with technology company.\u201d \u00a0As many changes and transformation starts to happen in these industries, the workplaces of a bank, an automakers, and an insurance company will change quickly with younger technology workers.<\/p>\n

Demand for IT workers<\/p>\n

According to an industry report, 2013 is the best year where employment for Information Technology (IT) graduates reaches the highest demand. As more companies from every sector is hiring IT workers, the shortage go from critical to crucial. Even with over hundred thousand foreign IT workers are allowed to come and work in the U.S each year, the shortage is keeping more severed as the demand keep increasing fast.<\/p>\n

Today automakers such as Ford, GM, Toyota, and Volkswagen all want to hire more IT workers and they are competing with software companies such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon.com. The reason is automakers are increasingly use computer systems in their cars and IT skilled workers are difficult to find so automakers are aggressively go to universities and hire as many IT graduates as possible. An Industry analyst explained: \u201cAll future cars will have sophisticated computer systems, everything will be controlled electronically and in the next few years, self-driven cars will be the reality that is why IT skills are needed. Imagine that you go to your car and tell the car where you want to go. The voice recognition software translates your voice to the car\u2019s control system who verifies the destination with you then uses the Global Position System (GPS) to direct your car to drive. With sensors and radars to monitor traffic, you can sit in the car reading newspapers, listen to music, or check emails and the car will take you to wherever you want. Although today there are only few thousand self-driven cars being used but the number is increasing fast. For example, Google founder Sergey Brin has been using Self-driven car to go to work for over a year now. He said it allows him more time to work in the car instead of driving. Several movies stars, rock stars and even senators and congressman also own self-driving cars. The industry expects that as more people are buying self-driving cars, the price will drop to a level that many will be able to afford them.<\/p>\n

As banking, financial and insurance companies automate their processes; they need more IT workers too. A Wall Street analyst said that after the financial crisis, banks and financial companies began to set up many computer checkpoints throughout their operation to alert managers of any anomaly as they do not trust people anymore. Many banks executives believe that people had made many mistakes and bad loans that led to the financial crisis of 2007. By having computer systems, they could improve the detection of bad loans, frauds, misplaced loans and inappropriate use of financial transactions etc. because computers would set alarm if anyone tempers with the loan process or if the numbers cannot be verified. To do that they need more skilled IT workers as they are embracing new technologies such as Big Data, mobile, and Cloud Computing. The analyst wrote: \u201cIT investments by banking and financial organizations are expected to exceed $471 billion by the end of 2013, a 14 percent increase since 2010. These investments are expected to grow another 20 percent in the next ten years as bank and financial are global businesses with offices and operations spreading all over the world and that means they will need IT workers from ever country that they operate. Today banks and financial companies do not need business people as many things will be automated by computers but they need more IT people to manage these systems. That is why the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is no longer the desire degree but Information System Management (ISM) is becoming one of the highest demand degrees in this financial sector.<\/p>\n

In the past five years, the\u00a0insurance industry has been investing heavily in information technology<\/strong>, collecting a lot of data as they are set up special systems to detect frauds, bad claims etc. An executive explained: \u201cFor years, the tradition is using people to process these insurance claims but today we are using computers to do that work because computer do not lie, do not cheat, and they make decisions based on rules not emotions. Within the next five years, the insurance industry will have more IT workers than business and accounting \u00a0workers and we are concentrating on Big Data analytics, mobile, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, all of them are taught in Information Technology program NOT business program and that is why we are focusing on hiring computer science and information system management graduates.<\/p>\n

Another industry that also competes for IT workers is healthcare industry. As they are increasingly using computers to automate their processes to improve efficiency in hospitals, doctors\u2019 offices, they need more IT workers. With the mandatory use of electronic health record is hospitals, increasing use of electronic devices and mobile phones; the entire healthcare sector is changing rapidly. Today doctors can examine patients from far away, using telemedicine technology, even minor surgeries can be done remotely using robots, patients are being monitored by electronic sensors and with these technologies, more IT skilled workers are needed.<\/p>\n

However to compete with the technology industry is not easy. An executive explained: \u201cFor years, IT students dream of working for Google, Facebook, and Amazon.com and they do not think of banking, hospital or insurance company as a \u201cCool\u201d place to work so we need to hire younger managers and \u201cTech-savvy managers\u201d to help our industry to overcome difficulties in attracting top tech talent. Of course, working for Google is \u201cHip\u201d and working for \u201cFacebook\u201d is \u201cCool\u201d so what we do is to attract IT skilled workers by giving them something difference. Instead of sitting in a small office in front of computer as most technology companies do, we offer them a direct interface with customers such as changing location every few years. For example, if you work for an international bank, you can work in Paris for a year then move to Hong Kong then to Australia. As long as we have offices in any country, you could relocate to work there.
