K\u1ebft c\u1ea5u n\u1ec1n bao g\u1ed3m c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 nh\u01b0 internet, b\u0103ng r\u1ed9ng, \u0111i\u1ec7n, m\u1ea1ng, ph\u1ea7n c\u1ee9ng v\u00e0 ph\u1ea7n m\u1ec1m nh\u01b0ng c\u00f4ng ngh\u1ec7 t\u1ed1t nh\u1ea5t v\u1eabn ch\u1eb3ng c\u00f3 li\u00ean quan g\u00ec n\u1ebfu n\u1ed9i dung kh\u00f4ng c\u00f3 s\u1eb5n. V\u1edbi n\u0103ng l\u1ef1c \u0111a ph\u01b0\u01a1ng ti\u1ec7n hi\u1ec7n \u0111\u1ea1i, e-Learning c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c d\u00f9ng \u0111\u1ec3 tr\u1ee3 gi\u00fap cho m\u1ecdi ng\u01b0\u1eddi thu nh\u1eadn k\u0129 n\u0103ng c\u01a1 b\u1ea3n. V\u1edbi tr\u1ebb em, \u0111\u1eb7c bi\u1ec7t trong c\u00e1c v\u00f9ng s\u00e2u v\u00f9ng xa, e-Learning cung c\u1ea5p ti\u1ec1m n\u0103ng g\u1eafn n\u1ed1i v\u1edbi nh\u1eefng ng\u01b0\u1eddi kh\u00e1c trong v\u00f9ng hay c\u1ea3 n\u01b0\u1edbc v\u00e0 h\u00ecnh th\u00e0nh n\u00ean c\u1ed9ng \u0111\u1ed3ng h\u1ecdc t\u1eadp \u0111\u1ec3 l\u00e0m t\u0103ng \u00fd th\u1ee9c v\u1ec1 gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb v\u00e0 tri th\u1ee9c. However, the only way schools can get support in the use of technology is when both school administrators and top education people in government are technologies users and consider them as good tools for improving education systems.<\/p>\n<p>To successfully apply information technology, schools need to overcome two obstacles: Infrastructure and teaching method. Infrastructure involves technology such as internet, broadband, electricity, network, hardware and software but the best technology does not do anything if the content is not available. The content (Curriculum) needs to be in the adequate formats in order to enable student to learn and be successful. To do this we need to address teaching method because it differs from the traditional classroom teaching. The new teaching method using information technology requires the self-motivation of students rather than the passively absorption of knowledge in traditional class. To motivate students, this new teaching method requires teacher to explain the reason why they need to learn certain knowledge, and the benefits of having these skills. Students will be provided with learning materials prior to attending class so they can be prepared to participate in class discussion and raise questions to clarify their learning objectives. In this new approach, the role of teachers is no longer the \u201cKnowledge transmitters\u201d but the \u201cMentors\u201d and \u201cSupporters\u201d who can provide guidance to students in achieving their study goals. Traditional system considers education is the job of the school but behavior is the job of the parents, but in this new teaching method, parents have very important role in the education of their children. They are required to work actively with teachers in the guidance of students by frequent monitoring students\u2019 progress and receive monthly report on their children\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n<p>In traditional education system, school is an \u201cindependent entity\u201d managed by academic community to determine what to teach and what students must learn. In the new education system, school is partnering with the industry to create a curriculum that meet the demand of the industry. If schools can provide the right skills and knowledge to meet the industry\u2019s needs then it would be beneficial for industry to collaborate with schools since school is in the business of training and industry is in business of hiring qualified workers. In addition, if schools can make students into life-long learners, then industry would not have to invest on retraining workers and education could be a continuous training and learning for every workers. Therefore, the collaboration that brings students, teachers, parents, and industry together is the foundation of the knowledge society.<\/p>\n<p>Among several technologies, e-Learning has the most potential for developing countries. The idea of enabling people, no matter where they are, to develop their skills and competencies and connect to a national education systems is very promising. One of the most fundamental areas for e-Learning is the basic computing skills that enable large populations of students to acquire computer and internet skills in a simple and easy manner. With modern multimedia capabilities, e-Learning can be used to assist people in acquiring basic skills. For children, especially in rural areas, e-Learning offers the potential of connecting with others throughout the region or country and forming learning communities to increase the sense of value and knowledge. A number of social educational issues can be addressed due to the illustrative capabilities of modern multimedia to facilitate solving some of the severe education issues. The combination of interactive exploration of topics (e.g. cause and effect relationships) and visualizations allow for very effective instruction to young children. Building role models and offering positive experiences with the desired behavior is feasible in the e-Learning context. On-line learning communities manage by a national education system can offer powerful tool for building knowledge and behavior as well as surveying the development and measuring it against the original objectives and obtaining feedback regarding the content.<\/p>\n<p>Another great potential of e-Learning is the possibility of re-training and re-skilling large portions of the workers and thus increasing their employability or even introducing new concepts, new skills and new attitudes to the unemployed people. As I have seen in India, there is a large demand for qualified software workers using the Internet to work with employers remotely or with companies abroad. This kind of workplace setup can be made available for people to seek employment independently of their location without have to relocate. One of the issue in developing economy is the \u201cbrain drain phenomena\u201d that pulling well-trained people out of a country to work by offering them higher salaries and better economic environment. Building a well developed infrastructure that is connected globally can solve this situation and improving the in-country knowledge where people do not need to relocate but still be able to work for companies in another countries.<\/p>\n<p>To change from traditional education to the new learning method requires significant efforts. For the transition to take place smoothly, many countries such as India and China have allowed both systems to co-exist but invest more in the new method of training and in the future, it will replace the traditional one. Today, their governments have established a very good infrastructure for e-learning where most schools systems having computers and are connected to the internet but having infrastructure is only the beginning.
