B\u00e1o c\u00e1o n\u00e0y ch\u1ec9 ra r\u1eb1ng ph\u1ea7n m\u1ec1m v\u00e0 CNTT \u0111\u00f3ng vai tr\u00f2 m\u1ea5u ch\u1ed1t trong n\u1ec1n kinh t\u1ebf M\u0129. (C\u00f4ng nghi\u1ec7p CNTT t\u0103ng 11.8% khi so s\u00e1nh v\u1edbi t\u0103ng tr\u01b0\u1edfng GDP 3.2%). The economic impact of information technology<\/p>\n

The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) recently released a report that measures the economic impact of these industries on the U.S. and global economies. The report, entitled \u201cSoftware & Information: Driving the Global Knowledge Economy,\u201d concludes that software and Information Technology (IT) are the fastest growing areas, the most profitable business, and the most important factor that accelerates economic growth in both the U.S. and the world.<\/p>\n

The report shows that software and IT play a critical role in the U.S. economy. (IT industry grows 11.8% as compare to 3.2% GDP growth). They are also key drivers for the economy growth in India, China, Brazil, and Russia. In the U.S, the IT industry generates 2.7 million jobs directly and 21 million jobs indirectly but the job creation ratio is much higher in other countries. Furthermore, these are high-wage jobs as technology workers are well compensated, earning among the highest wages in the world. The U.S annual average wage for technology workers was $75,400 in 2008, much higher than any college educated workers.<\/p>\n

Even in bad economy, technology companies are still doing well around the world. The top companies, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and Google selling products and services around the world with sales over several hundred billion dollars each year. If include all expenditures for software and computer services in the world than the number is more than $4 trillion dollars. It is obvious from these data that technology is pushing unprecedented growth, providing significant new opportunities for these companies and that is the reason why the U.S. continues to be the global economic leader. The major factor of technology is knowledge as it creates innovation products. The major investment to possess innovation knowledge is having a quality and most up to date education system.<\/p>\n

Today many countries are focusing on improve their education system to compete with the U.S for leadership position but the progress is still slow because strong resistance from the traditional academia view on teaching and learning. That is why many students are applying to study in U.S schools to get better future and better opportunities.<\/p>\n
