Best jobs for women<\/p>\n

According to the latest U.S government study, women now account for half of the workers in the United States. Many women are also the primary wage earner for the family. (Due to the high unemployment issue, over 25% men in U.S become househusband). Although women still make about 80 percent of what a man makes for the same type of job but it is changing fast. Women are beginning to move into positions that were more traditionally held by men. These jobs allow women to make more money and participate in many important decision makings. The study also identified three areas that stand out as the best career paths for women.<\/p>\n

Management: A position of chief executive officer (CEO) is considered as the highest paying position for a woman. About 30% of CEO of U.S companies are women. According to the study, business and management provide the best opportunity for women. The enrollment of women in Business school is about 65% and it is still growing. Today there are more women enroll in university than men. The study also found a majority of women in management position have Master degrees (Master of Business Administration – MBA) but job experience does open opportunities for women to advance into higher management positions.<\/p>\n

Medical: Another top jobs for women is in the medical field. There are many women working as medical doctor today than ten years ago. About 35% of doctors are women. However, pharmacist became a top career choice for women. Women have occupied half of all pharmacists jobs in the U.S and Canada. Other medical professions that are very good careers for women are specialized medical jobs, such as anesthesiologist, dentist, registered nurse, and dental hygienist.<\/p>\n

Technology: This is the fastest growing field for women since it was dominated by men for the past thirty years. There is no different in salary between man and woman in high tech. The study found the most popular fields are Information System Management (ISM) and Information Technology specialist (IT) where there are more women hold better positions than men. A career as a computer programmer or software developers offers another good opportunity for women although the number of women in these fields are still low (22%). However, there is an increase in number of women in software project management positions in software industry. (38%). \u00a0These types of job has additional benefits as workers have the ability to telecommute or work at home (Virtual workers). Due to the global shortage of highly skills workers, the technology area provides the best option to work oversea than any other fields.<\/p>\n
