Trong qu\u00e1 kh\u1ee9 h\u1ea7u h\u1ebft c\u00e1c c\u00f4ng ti l\u1edbn \u0111\u1ec1u c\u00f3 b\u1ed9 ph\u1eadn CNTT \u0111\u1ec3 duy tr\u00ec h\u1ec7 th\u1ed1ng m\u00e1y t\u00ednh c\u1ee7a h\u1ecd nh\u01b0 server, k\u1ebft c\u1ea5u n\u1ec1n, m\u1ea1ng, v\u00e0 \u1ee9ng d\u1ee5ng nh\u01b0 ERP, CRM v\u00e0 c\u00e1c \u1ee9ng d\u1ee5ng kh\u00e1c. M\u1ed9t s\u1ed1 b\u1ed9 ph\u1eadn CNTT c\u00f3 t\u1edbi h\u00e0ng tr\u0103m ng\u01b0\u1eddi hay h\u01a1n. Cloud Computing<\/p>\n

A manager asks: \u201cWhat will be the impact of cloud computing? My company is considered using cloud computing service from Microsoft. What will happen to people who work in information technology group that supports the company?”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer: Cloud computing will have a significant impact on all Information Technology (IT) organizations. In the past most large companies have an IT department to maintain their computer systems such as servers, infrastructures, networks, and applications such as ERP, CRM and others. Some IT departments have hundred or more people. Cloud computing will change all of that.<\/p>\n

With cloud computing, companies do not buy servers anymore. Instead they sign contract with cloud computing service companies. For example, they pay Microsoft an annual fee for Microsoft Exchange Online and everything they need will be provided by Microsoft and stored in Microsoft Exchange servers.<\/p>\n

Companies that sell software products will see their business decrease significantly because their customers do not need to buy software anymore. They get all software they need through their cloud computing company. They do not need hundred of IT support people to install, maintain and update software because all of that services are performed by their cloud computing companies.<\/p>\n

When company moves to the \u201cCloud\u201d, they only need a much smaller IT organizations to maintain the basic infrastructure such as network connects to the internet. Everything else will be provided by cloud computer companies. This also means many people who currently work in IT organization may have to switch their jobs to work for cloud computing companies instead.<\/p>\n

The key challenge of all cloud computing companies today is to find the experienced \u201cservice managers\u201d to manage their services to customers. These service managers need broad service experience and good soft-skills. They must have knowledge with server-class operating systems and Web hosting, SQL database, scripting, large-scale systems integration, and performance monitoring, as well as deep knowledge of complex server hardware and network design, setup, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, problem solving, and customer service skills. They will implement and maintain many servers, storage systems, virtual machines, and network equipment within large data centers. In addition, they must have the ability to monitor, review performance, and solve problem quickly. If \u201cthe cloud\u201d does not work well, it will impact all customers who are connect to the cloud.<\/p>\n

The issue is most IT training programs today are still teaching the software development and maintenance but NOT software as a service, at least not yet.<\/p>\n
