In past few years, almost all car companies are having electric cars or hybrid cars (Run on both electric and gas). With global car sale in several million per year, electric car is hot. You may want to study automobile engineering specializing in electric car.<\/p>\n

Since many electric cars use lithium battery. You may want to study electrical engineering specializing in lithium battery. Today 70% of the world\u2019s lithium is located in an area between Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia. The other 20% is in the Colorado and Nevada area of the U.S. If the world was to exchange oil for Lithium battery then South America would become the new Middle East. Bolivia would become far more important than Saudi Arabia ever was. What will happen if the Middle East is no longer important? Since the demand for battery cars is high and profit of making these cars is significant, there is a rush to produce more electric cars to meet demand. Of course, lithium is the key so in the past few months, both Chile and Argentina announced that their lithium mines are open for foreign business to invest. In no time, representatives from China, France, Japan, Russia, and S. Korea all made inquiries to mine these precious mineral. You may want to study mining engineering, specializing in mineral mining. For many years, U.S policy was to secure Middle East oil, but will it change to South American lithium? The question is: Which country can develop this technology? Which country can make bio-fuel cheaper than oil? Today Bio-fuels are gaining more scientific attention. Today, Bio-fuels only provided about 3% of the world\u2019s transportation but as oil prices continue to rise, more will be needed soon.
