CMU rank # 1 again<\/p>\n

U.S News and World Report magazine just releases the university ranking for 2013 as follow:<\/p>\n

CMU\u2019s Computer Science program was ranked # 1st; Programming language was also ranked # 1st, Artificial Intelligence was ranked # 2nd, System Engineering was ranked # 3rd<\/sup>; and Computing theory was ranked # 5th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Two CMU programs: \u00a0information and technology management and multimedia\/visual communications \u00a0have held on to their number one ranking in U.S. News & World Report\u2019s 2013. \u00a0Both programs were ranked #1 in 2009, the last time U.S. News & World Report rated programs in these categories.<\/p>\n

CMU\u2019s Engineering was rated 7th overall, 4th in computer engineering, 7th in both electrical and environmental engineering, 11th in both civil engineering and mechanical engineering, 14th in materials science engineering (tied with Purdue University) and chemical engineering, and 27th in biomedical engineering (tied with Harvard University).<\/p>\n

CMU School of Business program ranked 18th overall and its MBA program ranked 12th. It ranked 2nd in information systems management, 4th in production\/operations management, 8th in supply chain\/logistics, 18th in finance and 21st in entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
